Western medicine has long held the idea that if something is not working, you either treat the symptoms that are bothering you- or remove (and if possible replace) the faulty part.
But, when you ignore the root of the problem so long that your only option is to take it out, you rob yourself of a better, more fulfilling life. Cranio/Sacral Therapy and Lymphatic drainage are means to remove the symptoms of pain by addressing the root of the problem. And when used in conjunction with eastern medicine can provide amazing results.
Cranio/Sacral Therapy (CST):
--Trauma/disease/emotional shock in any area of the body creates a
twisting in the membranes which can pull and place restrictions on
cranial bones, the sacrum, or the dural sleeves, not to mention the
brain, i.e. cranial nerves, pituitary, thalamus, etc. It also
affects the motility of the organs through the fascial webbing.
when this happens the production of cerebral spinal fluid can be
reduced or cannot flow with ease.
--The CSF flows up and down the system in a semi-hydraulic system
creating a filling and emptying feeling for the therapist to
monitor. this is called the ''cranio/sacral rhythm'' or
CSR. The average person "beats" between 8 to 12
"beats' or cycles per minute. Therapists monitoring this rhythm
and use it to determine what is happening in the body by the rate,
amplitude, symmetry and volume.
--Therapists then use gentle hands on techniques including process
acupressure, visceral manipulation, structural re-alignment and
non-directive dialog to release the various areas of restrictions
wherever they exist in any system in the body.
--I have treated several hundreds of cases over the 12 years of
practice which has brought such results as disappearance of headaches,
tinnitus, vertigo, and back pain. I have also been witness to
behavior changes from children who are autistic, mentally challenged,
and those diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. I've worked on head trauma
of varying degrees, from gunshot wounds, to blows to the head,
concussion's, horse mauling, and many other conditions.
CST also addresses:
*Migraine Headaches
*Chronic Neck and Back Pain
*Motor-Coordination Impairments
*Colic
*Central Nervous System disorders
*Orthopedic Problems
*Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
*Scoliosis
*Infantile Disorders
*learning Disabilities
*Chronic Fatigue
*Emotional Difficulties
*Stress and Tension Related Problems
*Fibromyaligia
*Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMD/TMJ)
*Neruovascular or Immune disorders
*Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
*Post-Surgical Dysfunction
I have experienced CP (Cerebral Palsy) children confined to wheel
chairs gain more flexibility to movement. Corrected
structural issues where surgeries were scheduled. Pain,
anti-seizure, anti-depressant or anti-anxiety medications reduced or
not needed. Results for this work is in the 90% for
measurable results to the clients who have given this work the
necessary focus for the time needed.
There is a protocol that is the basic training, including working in
the mouth, that gives a huge measure of change and results, however the
work goes further when one begins to work into the emotional memory
that is held in the physical tissues. This is where Advanced
Cranio/Sacral begins. This is where impact to healing is
launched. It is in this space we begin to see the divine
connection of Life silently present within our hearts.
In my opinion, the deeper we take our healing, we discover the
emotional trauma ''holding patterns'' that manifest in our physicality,
our structural language. As we come present with this
somato-emotional connection, address it and allow for it to disappear,
we enter into an entire new world to explore. The releasing
of the energetic ''cysts'' we find presence to an issue that has held
us back in life. It holds an emotional component and that will
stop us in our tracks keeping our reaction to the world at the age we
began to hold on to that pattern.
Healing is truly a unique process each one of us reconciling to our own choices and experiences of life.
Naturally this video is a brief overview of the very dynamic and involved process of Cranio/Sacral Therapy.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT):
--Applications
for LDT is to activate fluid circulation of lymph which indirectly stimulates
blood capillaries, veins, interstitial liquids, synovial and cerebrospinal
fluid. --A re-routing of
stagnant fluid (edema) in skin, mucosa, muscles, joints, periosteum, chambers
of the eyes, cranial sutures, etc.
--Draining toxins promotes regeneration of tissues and systems.
--Immunity is stimulated and is used as preventative therapy. It assists
with the chronic inflammatory process giving relief.
--Stimulation of the parasympathetic system is very helpful for stress,
depression, sleep disorders.
--Lymph drainage helps relieve chronic pain and reduces muscular
spasming.
Here is a short list of indications for who would benefit by the work of
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy:
*Swelling
*Post Surgery
*Radiation Therapy
*Traumatic structural injuries (torn muscles, sprains, dislocations, fractures,
etc. )
*Dentistry
*Dermatology
*Estetic
*Gastroenterology (esophagus - intestines)
*Hepatology (liver)
*Gerontology
*Gynecology
*Infectious disease
*Neurology (headaches, migraine's, spinal injuries, Parkinson's, MS, etc.)
*Ophthalmology (visual activity)
*Orthopedics (sprain, dislocation, fracture)
*Osteopathic/
chiropractic/
myotherapy (whiplash, neck pain, low back pain, sciatica)
*Ear, nose and throat issues (tinnitus, vertigo, Meniere's disease)
*Pediatrics
*Pneumology, Allergology (bronchitis, asthma, hay fever)
*Rheumatology (arthritis, gout, lupus, scleroderma, fibromyaligia,
osteoporosis)
*Sports injury or prevention as pre and post event
*Surgeries (pre and post)
*Urology, nephrology (bladder and kidneys)
With lymphatic drainage there are contraindications. This is usually indicated
in fevers, severe inflammation, bleeding. The contraindications are few
by comparison to benefits by this modality. Some therapists are better
trained to handle more complex issues, so it is recommended to ask questions of
the qualifications if you are experiencing severe conditions.
I have experienced tremendous results for people who have experienced gastric
bi-pass surgeries, broken bones, frozen shoulders, sinus issues,
among a few.
There is a protocol of mapping (feeling for the direction of lymphatic flow) to
m monitor the direction of fluid. If it is going away from the major
quadrant nodes, the techniques are to turn the flow around.
To combine CST, LDT and detoxification the results are outstanding. There
is tremendous connection between these systems so addressing each one in
conjunct with each other serves to complete a discomfort with amazing results.
And of course, we cannot forget the benefits of getting a proper, basic massage.
